As in Carrie, Fight Club, and Mean Girls, pink provides plot twists for the unwary. For Lisa in Coming to America and Elle in Legally Blonde, pink expresses self-knowledge, strength, maturity, and a rite of passage. Dr. Deborah Nadoolman Landis presents “Panavision in Pink: Deceptively Demure” at The Museum at FIT's 20th fashion symposium, Pink, held on Friday, October 19, 2018. This symposium explored the significance of the color pink in fashion, art, and culture.
